Is this mattress good for side sleepers?

It can work for lighter side sleepers, but the 10-inch build has limited cushioning. Heavier side sleepers may want a thicker comfort layer.

How firm is the medium feel?

Owners often describe it as medium-firm rather than true medium. Stomach and back sleepers tend to be happier with it than strict side sleepers.

Does the cooling gel actually keep you cool?

It helps a little compared with plain memory foam, but it is not active cooling. A breathable mattress protector and cooler room matter more.

What sizes are available?

It comes in Twin, Full, Queen and King. This page covers the Full size.

Does it need a box spring?

No. It works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base. A box spring is optional.

When is the price lowest?

Mattress prices like this one tend to dip around major sales events and holiday weekends. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the Novilla Full Size Medium Cooling Gel Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress

The Novilla Full Size Medium Cooling Gel Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress is a 10-inch hybrid that pairs a gel-infused memory foam pillowtop with an innerspring support core. It is aimed at sleepers who want some foam cushioning without the sink of an all-foam bed, and the cooling gel is meant to offset foam's heat retention. It is a budget-tier hybrid, so expect a simpler coil system and thinner comfort layers than premium hybrids.
