Our take on the Nutrient Survival Southwestern Medley

Nutrient Survival Southwestern Medley is a single pouch of freeze-dried Southwestern-style food from a brand built around long shelf life and added vitamins. It is gluten-free and dairy-free and is sold as an MRE-style meal with a stated 25-year shelf life. The best new price is $30.00 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful price history to compare against.

Pros
  • Stated 25-year shelf life
  • Gluten-free and dairy-free
  • Freeze-dried, so it is light and needs only water

Cons
  • $30.00 for one pouch is a high per-meal cost
  • Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin
  • Freeze-dried meals need hot water and time to rehydrate
  • Added-vitamin emergency food rarely matches fresh cooking on taste

Questions and answers

Is the Nutrient Survival Southwestern Medley worth $30.00?
At $30.00 for one pouch at eBay as of November 3, 2026, you are paying for a 25-year shelf life and free-from formulation more than for volume. Compare the serving count on the pouch against cheaper emergency-food pouches before committing.
How long does it really last?
Nutrient Survival states a 25-year shelf life. That assumes the pouch stays sealed and is stored cool and dry; heat and moisture shorten it.
Is it gluten-free and dairy-free?
Yes. The product is listed as both gluten-free and dairy-free, which makes it usable for shoppers avoiding either.
How do you prepare it?
It is a freeze-dried MRE-style meal, so you add water and let it rehydrate. Hot water speeds this up and improves texture.
When is the price lowest?
Only one store lists it new, so there is little discounting to track. Watch for eBay promotions or seller coupons rather than expecting a broad price drop.
Where is the Nutrient Survival Southwestern Medley cheapest?
At Walmart, for $44.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Nutrient Survival Southwestern Medley?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 95 ratings.
Where can I buy the Nutrient Survival Southwestern Medley?
