Our take on the Oathx Kids Drum Set & Music Toy Wooden Musical Instruments

The Oathx Kids Drum Set is a wooden percussion toy for ages 1 to 5, built around kitten-shaped drums with a cymbal and tone block. It stands 7.1 inches tall, so it sits low enough for toddlers to reach from a seated or kneeling position. Two drumsticks are included. It is aimed at first-instrument play and birthday gifts rather than serious practice.

Questions and answers

Is the Oathx Kids Drum Set worth it?
For a first percussion toy for a 1- to 5-year-old, yes. It is wood rather than plastic and comes with sticks, a cymbal and a tone block. Do not expect real drum tone.
What age is it for?
The listed range is 1 to 5 years. The 7.1-inch height suits toddlers and preschoolers best. Children under 3 should be supervised because of the drumsticks.
What comes in the box?
Two drumsticks, a cymbal and a tone block, plus the kitten-shaped drums. It is sold as one set.
Is it loud?
It is a drum set, so it will be audible across a room. The cymbal and tone block add sharper sounds. Some owners mention it being louder than expected.
Can it be taken on trips?
It is small and low, so it moves easily between rooms. It is not a folding set, so packing it for travel takes some space.
