Our take on the Ohniyou 20'' Outdoor Ceiling Fans with Lights Farmhouse Caged Remote/APP Control, Dimmable Hanging Plug in Ceiling Fan for Patio Porch Gazebo, Wood

The Ohniyou 20'' Outdoor Ceiling Fan with Lights is a plug-in hanging fan with a farmhouse caged light fixture, three reversible blades and remote or app control. At 20 inches it is small for a ceiling fan, so it suits porches, gazebos and pergolas rather than large patios. The light is dimmable, and the plug-in cord means no hardwiring, which helps on a covered porch. No current price was provided, so check the latest price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is a 20-inch fan enough for a porch?
It suits a small seating area, roughly 8 by 10 feet or less. For a full-size patio, expect to run it on high and still want a larger fan.
Does it need to be hardwired?
No. It plugs into a standard outlet, so you need an outlet within reach of the cord under a covered area.
Can it get wet?
Treat it as suitable for covered outdoor use only. Do not expose it to direct rain or sprinklers.
How do the remote and app work?
The remote controls fan speed and light dimming, and the app adds the same controls from a phone. Pairing takes a few steps and range depends on your Wi-Fi.
What is in the box?
Expect the fan, caged light fixture, three blades, remote, mounting hardware and plug-in cord. Bulbs may or may not be included, so confirm before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor fan prices often dip in late summer and around Black Friday. Compare the current price with its recent range before buying.
