Are these shorts worth it for running?

Yes, if you want an inexpensive, breathable pair for casual runs and gym days. They lack the secure pockets and compression liner of pricier running shorts, so serious racers may want more.

How does the 7-inch inseam fit?

A 7-inch inseam lands around mid-thigh on most men, long enough to limit chafing and short enough to stay out of the way. The relaxed fit adds extra room through the seat and thighs.

Do they come in big and tall sizes?

Yes. Old Navy lists these shorts in regular, big, and tall size types, which is rare for budget running shorts.

What colors are available?

The listed colors are Panther and Black Jack, both dark neutrals. Availability can vary by size.

Are they good for hot weather?

The fabric is described as breathable and vented, so they suit warm-weather runs. They are not water-resistant or insulated.

When is the best time to buy them?

Old Navy runs frequent promotions, and these shorts often drop below the $20 list price during sales. Watch for markdowns around seasonal clearance events.
