Is the OluKai Aka W actually waterproof?

Yes. The sandal is listed as waterproof, so it handles splashes, wet sand and shower floors. It is still a slide, so water can sit under the foot until it drains.

What is the OluKai Aka W best used for?

Short wear on wet ground: the beach, pool deck, gym shower or garden. It is not built for long walks or hiking.

How does the Aka W fit?

It is a women's US size 5 in this listing, in an open-toe slide. OluKai sandals generally run true to size, but slides should leave a little room at the heel.

Is $50 a good price for the Aka W?

At $50.00 at Shop Simon as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to judge it against. Compare it with other OluKai slides before buying.

Can I wear the Aka W in the shower?

Yes. The waterproof build and open toe make it suitable for showers and locker rooms. Rinse and dry it after use to keep the footbed fresh.

Where is the OluKai Aka W cheapest?

At Shop Simon, for $50.00, as of our latest check.

Our take on the OluKai Aka W

The OluKai Aka W is a women's open-toe slide sandal built for wet ground, with a waterproof upper and a cushioned footbed. It is a simple slip-on for the beach, pool deck or shower, not a walking sandal. The best new price is $50.00 at Shop Simon as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent price range to compare against.
