Questions and answers

Is the ORORO heated down jacket worth it?
It is worth it if you spend long stretches outdoors in cold weather and want heat you can control. If you only need a warm puffer for short trips, a standard down jacket costs less and weighs less.
How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends on the heat level, with low heat lasting several hours and high heat draining the battery much faster. Carry a spare or charge it fully before a long day out.
Can I wash it with the heating elements?
Yes, it is machine washable, but remove the battery first and follow the care label. Air dry or tumble on low to protect the wiring and the down.
Does it run true to size?
It is a regular fit, so most shoppers can take their usual size. Size up if you plan to layer a sweater underneath.
Is it waterproof?
It is water-resistant and handles rain, but it is not a fully waterproof shell. In heavy or prolonged rain, wear a waterproof layer over it.
When is it cheapest?
Heated jackets usually drop in price during pre-winter sales and after the holidays. Watch the price history and buy when it dips below its recent average.
