Is the Oster 6qt Manual Air Fryer worth it?

At $55.99 at Target as of November 6, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a 6-quart basket. You give up digital presets, not cooking power.

How does it compare with digital air fryers?

Digital models add presets, exact temperatures and a display. This one uses a dial thermostat and timer, which is simpler but less precise.

Six quarts is enough for about 3 to 5 servings, such as a batch of fries, wings or a small whole chicken.

Does it need to be preheated?

A short preheat of a few minutes at the set temperature helps crispness, though the manual dial makes the temperature approximate.

Can the basket go in the dishwasher?

Most owners hand wash the nonstick basket and crisper plate to protect the coating. Check the manual for the manufacturer's guidance.

When is the price lowest?

Large-basket air fryers like this often drop during Black Friday and pre-holiday sales. Track the price history before buying.
