Questions and answers

Is the PeriPage A40 worth it?
It makes sense if you print occasionally and want no ink costs, such as notes, forms or web pages. For regular, long-term or color printing, a standard inkjet is cheaper per page and more durable.
Does it need ink or toner?
No. It uses heat on thermal paper, so the only supply you buy is paper. One roll is included.
What paper does it use?
Standard thermal A4 paper. Ordinary office paper will not print, and the prints fade with heat and sunlight over time.
Can it print from a laptop?
Printing is mainly through the PeriPage mobile app over Bluetooth. Desktop printing is limited compared with a normal wireless printer.
How good is the print quality?
It is 203 dpi black-and-white, fine for text documents and lists. Photos come out grainy and without color.
When is it cheapest?
The best new price is $69.99 at PeriPage as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new. Watch for bundle deals that add paper rolls, since paper is the ongoing cost.
