Questions and answers

Is $79.19 a good price for this crate?
It is the best new price among the three stores listing it as of November 5, 2026. That is cheap for a 42-inch double-door crate, but the low ratings mean you are trading build quality for price.
What size dog fits in a 42-inch crate?
The interior is 42 x 27 x 30 inches, which suits most large breeds such as Labs and German Shepherds. Measure your dog's standing height and nose-to-tail length before buying.
Does it come with a divider for puppies?
No. The listing covers the crate and tray only, so a puppy will have the full 42 inches from day one.
Can it be used outdoors?
It is listed for indoor or outdoor use and the electro-coated finish resists rust. The light wire frame is not built for leaving a dog unattended outside.
How much does it weigh and does it fold?
It weighs 24 lbs and collapses flat with a carry handle, so one person can move it.
Where is the Petmaker 42-Inch Dog Crate with Front and Side Doors cheapest?
