Our take on the Pfaltzgraff Trellis 12-Piece Melamine Dinnerware Set

The Pfaltzgraff Trellis 12-Piece Melamine Dinnerware Set serves four with dinner plates, salad plates and 23-ounce soup/cereal bowls in a round, trellis-patterned design with dark striations. Melamine makes it light and shatter-resistant, so it suits patios, picnics and households with kids. It is dishwasher safe but not microwave or oven safe, and abrasives should be avoided. At $49.97 at Home Depot as of November 6, 2026, it is the lowest of the six stores pricing it new and a solid entry point for a full service for four.

Questions and answers

Is this set worth it at $49.97?
At $49.97 at Home Depot as of November 6, 2026, it is the lowest of six stores and works out to about $4 per piece for a full service for four. That is a fair price for patterned melamine, provided you do not need microwave-safe plates.
Can I put these plates in the microwave?
No. The set is melamine and is not microwave safe, and it is not oven safe either. Use it for serving and eating, and reheat food in a separate microwave-safe dish.
How many people does the set serve?
It is a 12-piece service for four: four dinner plates, four 9-inch salad plates and four 23-ounce soup/cereal bowls. That covers a family of four or a small dinner party.
Are the bowls big enough for soup and cereal?
Each bowl holds 23 ounces and measures 6 inches across, which is generous for cereal, soup or salad. It is closer to a pasta bowl than a small dessert bowl.
How should I clean and store it?
It is dishwasher safe, but avoid abrasive sponges and scouring powders because they can dull the finish. Stack the plates with a felt or paper separator if you want to limit surface scratches.
When is the price lowest?
Melamine sets often dip around spring and early summer outdoor-entertaining sales. The current $49.97 at Home Depot as of November 6, 2026 is already the lowest of six stores, so waiting has limited upside.
Where is the Pfaltzgraff Trellis 12-Piece Melamine Dinnerware Set cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $49.97, 19% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Pfaltzgraff Trellis 12-Piece Melamine Dinnerware Set?
Rated 4.1 out of 5 from 14 ratings.
Where can I buy the Pfaltzgraff Trellis 12-Piece Melamine Dinnerware Set?
8 stores we checked sell it, including Home Depot, Wayfair, ModeSens, eBay, Pfaltzgraff.
