Is the Ping G430 SFT a good club for a slice?

Yes. The SFT stands for Straight Flight Technology, and its heel-side weighting helps close the face and reduce left-to-right spin. It is one of the more draw-biased fairway woods Ping has made.

What is the difference between the G430 SFT and the G430 Max fairway?

The Max is a neutral, higher-forgiveness head, while the SFT adds draw bias to fight a slice. Choose the SFT if your miss is right; choose the Max if you want a neutral flight.

What shaft and flex does this listing come with?

This listing is the right-handed men's model with a regular-flex steel shaft. Steel is uncommon in fairway woods, so check the spec before buying if you expected graphite.

Can I adjust the loft on the G430 SFT?

Yes. The adjustable hosel lets a fitter change loft and face angle within Ping's range, which helps tune launch and shot shape.

Is $269.98 a good price for the G430 SFT?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at PGA TOUR Superstore, so there is no recent range to compare against. Check used and prior-generation G425 SFT prices before deciding.

Who should not buy the G430 SFT?

Players who already draw the ball or want a fade-biased, workable fairway should look at a neutral head instead. The draw bias can make it hard to hold a cut.

Where is the Ping G430 SFT Fairway Wood cheapest?

Our take on the Ping G430 SFT Fairway Wood

The Ping G430 SFT is a draw-biased fairway wood built to reduce a slice and help square the face at impact. Its 17-4 stainless steel head and Carbonfly Wrap crown move weight low and back for a higher launch, and the lighter overall build suits moderate swing speeds. The best new price is $269.98 at PGA TOUR Superstore as of November 7, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no recent low to compare against.
