Is the Player II Stratocaster Left-Handed worth it?

For a left-handed player who wants a genuine Fender Strat with modern neck specs, yes. At $849.99 at Sweetwater as of November 6, 2026, it is priced at the low end of its recent range.

How is it different from the original Player Stratocaster?

The Player II adds rolled fingerboard edges, 22 frets instead of 21, ClassicGear tuners and new archive colors. The pickups and body shape carry over.

Does it come with a case?

No. It ships with a gig bag, not a hard case. Factor a case into the total cost if you gig.

What is the scale length and neck profile?

It has a 25.5-inch scale, a Modern "C" neck profile and a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius with 22 medium jumbo frets.

Can I get it in a humbucker version?

The Player II Stratocaster Left-Handed comes with three single-coils. For a humbucker, look at the Player II HSS or the Stratocaster models with a bridge humbucker.

Fender and its dealers discount around major sales events and when a new series replaces it. Watch the price history for dips below $849.99.
