Is the Polk Signa S2 worth it over TV speakers?

Yes, for most people. It adds a dedicated subwoofer and clearer dialogue, which built-in TV speakers cannot match. It is a budget upgrade, not a home theater replacement.

Does it support Dolby Atmos?

No. The Signa S2 is a 2.1-channel bar and does not decode Dolby Atmos or DTS:X. Look at Polk's higher models or other Atmos bars if that matters.

How do I connect it to my TV?

Use HDMI ARC if your TV has it, which lets the TV remote control volume. Otherwise use the optical input. AUX and Bluetooth are also available.

Does it come with a subwoofer?

Yes. The box includes the soundbar and a wireless subwoofer that pairs automatically. You only need power for the sub, no audio cable.

Can I mount it on a wall?

Yes. The Signa S2 is designed for wall mounting and includes mounting hardware. Check clearance below the TV for the bar's height.

Our take on the Polk Audio Signa S2

The Polk Audio Signa S2 is a 2.1-channel soundbar with a wireless subwoofer, built to replace weak TV speakers without a receiver. It supports Bluetooth, HDMI ARC, optical and AUX, and Polk's VoiceAdjust feature lifts dialogue for movies and news. Its frequency response runs 45 Hz to 20 kHz, so the sub handles bass while the bar covers mids and highs. It is a budget-tier bar, so expect a step up from TV audio rather than a full surround system.
