Is the Pottery Barn Newport Crib worth $987?

It is a solid-wood crib from a well-known brand with adjustable mattress heights, which justifies part of the price. With only one store listing it new at $987 as of November 5, 2026, you have no cheaper new option to compare against.

What mattress size does the Newport Crib take?

It is a standard crib, 56 inches wide, so it takes a standard full-size crib mattress. Check that your mattress fits snugly with no gaps before use.

Does the Newport Crib convert to a toddler bed?

The listing describes adjustable mattress support but does not name a toddler conversion rail or kit. Confirm conversion options with the store before buying if you plan to use it past the crib stage.

How low does the mattress go?

The mattress support has multiple height positions, starting high for newborns and lowering as your child can sit and stand. That saves you bending over the rail early on.

What is the Newport Crib made of?

Solid poplar wood, oak veneers and MDF, finished in Mist. The frame parts are solid wood, while panels use veneer over MDF.

When is the Newport Crib cheapest?

Only one store lists it new, at $987 as of November 5, 2026, so discounts depend on that store's sales. Watch for nursery events and holiday furniture promotions.
