Our take on the Pottery Barn York Slope Arm Sectional

The Pottery Barn York Slope Arm Sectional is an upholstered three-piece sectional with a wood frame, pillow back and gently sloped arms. It is GREENGUARD certified, so its emissions are low enough for nurseries and bedrooms. The 18-inch seat height suits most adults and is easy for older knees to rise from. Pottery Barn sells it at full price most of the year, so the best price usually appears during its seasonal furniture sales rather than on a random day.

Questions and answers

Is the York Slope Arm Sectional worth it?
It is worth it if you want a certified low-emission sofa with a solid wood frame and a configurable L-shape. If you want a washable cover or a quick delivery, look elsewhere.
How does it compare with the York Track Arm?
The two share the same frame and seat height. The Slope Arm has angled arms and a softer look; the Track Arm has straight arms and a slightly more modern, boxy profile.
What are the seat and arm dimensions?
Seat height is 18 inches, which is standard for a deep sofa. Overall depth and piece widths vary by configuration, so measure your room against the specific layout you order.
Is the fabric safe for a nursery?
Yes. It is GREENGUARD certified, which means tested low chemical emissions. That makes it a reasonable choice for a nursery or a bedroom.
What comes in the box?
You get the three sectional pieces you order, plus the back pillows and seat cushions. White-glove delivery and assembly are usually added at checkout.
When is it cheapest?
Pottery Barn discounts furniture during its seasonal sales, often around major holidays. Waiting for one of those events usually beats buying at list price.
