Questions and answers

Is the PowerSmart B8721C worth it?
At $249.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a Briggs & Stratton engine and a 21-inch cut. It makes sense for a flat quarter-acre lawn; if you have slopes, a self-propelled model is worth the extra money.
Does it have electric start?
No. It uses a manual recoil pull start, and there is no battery or starter button.
Can it mulch and bag?
Yes. It is a 3-in-1 mower: rear bag, mulch plug and side discharge. You switch modes by changing the rear discharge door and plug setup.
How big a lawn will it handle?
PowerSmart rates it for about a quarter acre. The 21-inch deck and 58.2 lb weight suit small to mid-size flat yards.
What is the cutting height range?
Six positions from 1.5 to 3.9 inches, adjusted at the wheels. That covers a close trim and a taller summer cut.
When is it cheapest?
The current $249.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026 is already at the low end of its recent range. Mower prices usually dip in late fall and winter, outside the spring mowing season.
