Is the PowerSmart EasyCut worth it for a small yard?

For a flat yard under a quarter acre, yes. It is cheap for a new gas mower and the steel deck should outlast a plastic one. On slopes or thick grass, a self-propelled model is easier.

How big a yard can it handle?

PowerSmart rates it for up to ¼ acre. The 18-inch cut and 144cc engine suit light, regular mowing; larger or overgrown lawns will take longer.

Does it have self-propel or electric start?

No. It is a push mower with a pull-start 144cc engine. You supply the effort on hills and when turning.

What cutting heights does it offer?

Five positions from 1.5 to 3.9 inches. That covers a short summer cut and a taller setting for dry or shaded grass.

How much does it cost and where?

$199.99 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, the only new price listed. Check the price history before buying, since one seller means little discounting.

Does it fold for storage?

Yes, the handle folds down. At 48 lb it is light enough to wheel into a shed or lift into a truck bed.
