Is $24.95 a good price for this lighter?

It is the only new price listed, at Best Buy as of November 8, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare it with. Under $25 is typical for a refillable adjustable torch lighter from a known brand.

What fuel does it use?

It runs on butane, the standard fuel for torch lighters. You refill it through the fill valve, and most cans of refined butane work.

Can I adjust the flame size?

Yes. The Apex has an adjustable flame, so you can set a small soft-ish flame or a stronger torch depending on the job.

Is a torch lighter good for cigars?

Yes. A torch flame lights a cigar evenly without the soot a match or soft flame can leave. Keep the flame off the tobacco itself and toast the foot first.

Does it come with butane?

Lighters usually ship without fuel because of shipping rules. Buy a can of butane separately and fill it before first use.

There is no price history yet beyond the $24.95 at Best Buy as of November 8, 2026. Lighters like this often drop during holiday and Father's Day sales.
