Is the Presto 01755 big enough for canning quart jars?

Its 16-quart pot is sized for batch canning, but check your jar sizes against Presto's canning load chart for this model before buying. Tall quart jars need enough headroom for the lid to seal.

How is this different from an Instant Pot?

It is a dedicated electric pressure canner and cooker, not a multi-function appliance. It has no saute, yogurt or programmable preset modes, but it holds far more than a 6- or 8-quart cooker.

Does it need a special outlet?

No. At 1000 watts it runs on a standard 120V household outlet, though you should avoid sharing the circuit with other high-draw appliances.

Is $186.99 a good price?

That is the best new price among the two stores listing it as of November 7, 2026, and it sits at the high end of the recent range. Watch for seasonal canning sales if you are not in a hurry.

What comes in the box?

Expect the canner body, lid, rack and an instruction and recipe book. Confirm the included accessories with the listing, since bundles vary.

Our take on the Presto 01755

The Presto 01755 is a 1000-watt electric pressure cooker with a 4-gallon (16-quart) round aluminum pot and a heat-shielding handle. That capacity is far larger than a typical 6- or 8-quart countertop cooker, so it suits canning and big-batch cooking more than everyday meals for two. At $186.99 at Tractor Supply Co as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent price range, with only two stores listing it new.
