How long does it take to brew a full pot?

Presto rates it at about a cup a minute, so a 12-cup pot takes roughly 12 minutes. Smaller batches finish proportionally faster.

Is the carafe dishwasher safe?

No. The percolator is not dishwasher safe, so the carafe and basket should be washed by hand.

Does it keep coffee hot after brewing?

Yes. It is designed to hold and keep the brewed coffee hot in the stainless pot, which is why it suits refills over time.

How does percolator coffee differ from drip?

A percolator pumps already-brewed coffee back over the grounds, so the result is often stronger and can taste harsher than drip. Use a coarser grind to limit that.
