Our take on the Pro USB Gaming Headset for PC Computer Headphones with Noise-Cancelling Mic

This is a generic, unbranded wireless gaming headset sold under a marketplace-style title, with Bluetooth connectivity, virtual surround sound and a boom mic. The spec sheet is contradictory: it lists both on-ear and over-ear fit, and the 2-inch width does not match a real over-ear headset. No price is available for it, so there is no way to judge whether it is a good deal.

Pros
  • Wireless Bluetooth connection, no cable to the PC
  • Built-in noise-cancelling boom mic for voice chat
  • Virtual surround sound claimed for positional audio
  • Silver finish stands out from typical black headsets
Cons
  • No brand name, model number or listed price
  • Specs conflict: listed as both on-ear and over-ear
  • Bluetooth adds latency, which hurts competitive gaming
  • No stated battery life, driver size or warranty
  • 2-inch width spec suggests the listing data is unreliable

Questions and answers

Is this headset worth buying?
Only if the price is very low and you accept the risk of an unbranded product. There is no price, brand or review history to judge value against known headsets.
Will it work with a PC?
It uses Bluetooth, so it should pair with any PC that has Bluetooth or a USB Bluetooth adapter. Wired-only desktops will need an adapter, which is not listed as included.
Is it good for competitive gaming?
Probably not ideal. Bluetooth audio adds latency that can put gunshots and footsteps slightly behind the action, and virtual surround cannot fix that.
How long does the battery last?
Battery life is not stated anywhere in the specs. Treat any runtime claim as unknown until the seller lists it.
Is it on-ear or over-ear?
The specs list both, which is contradictory. The 2-inch width also does not fit a real over-ear design, so confirm the fit before ordering.
What comes in the box?
Not specified. Expect the headset and a charging cable at most; a Bluetooth adapter or carry case is unlikely to be included.
