Is the CE 24 worth $2,699?

If you want a US-built PRS with a bolt-on neck, yes; it is the cheapest way into that construction in the PRS line. If you mainly want a glued-neck Custom 24 sound, save longer or buy used.

How is the CE 24 different from the Custom 24?

The CE 24 has a bolt-on maple neck and a satin nitro finish, while the Custom 24 is set-neck. The CE feels snappier and brighter; the Custom has more sustain and a thicker neck option.

Do the 85/15 pickups coil-split?

Yes. Pulling up the tone control splits both humbuckers, giving you single-coil-style tones alongside the full humbucker sounds.

What are the neck specs?

Pattern Thin carve, 25-inch scale, 10-inch fretboard radius and 1 11/16 inches at the nut. That is a fairly flat, fast neck aimed at lead players.

Does it come with a case?

PRS ships CE 24s in a gig bag rather than a hard case. Confirm with the seller what is included before you buy.

When is the CE 24 cheapest?

Used and open-box CE 24s run well below the $2,699 new price, and holiday sales are the usual window for new discounts. Watch the price history rather than buying at list.

Our take on the PRS CE 24

The PRS CE 24 is a 24-fret electric guitar that pairs a maple top and mahogany back with a bolt-on maple neck, giving it more snap and attack than PRS's glued-neck models. It runs two 85/15 humbuckers through a volume, a push/pull tone control and a 3-way toggle for six sounds, and it has a 25-inch scale, a 10-inch radius and a Pattern Thin carve. The best new price is $2,699 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, with 3 stores listing it new.
