Our take on the Qoosea CD Player Portable Bluetooth CD Players for Home Desktop with HiFi Sound Speaker

The Qoosea Portable Bluetooth CD Player is a desktop and carry-around CD player with two built-in 3W speakers, Bluetooth output, FM radio, and a rechargeable battery. It plays CDs, CD-R/RW discs, MP3 and WMA files, and USB drives, and adds a headphone jack, aux-in, remote control, and LED/LCD display. At about 2 lb and roughly 8 by 10 inches, it is small enough to move between rooms but not pocket-sized. It is a budget all-in-one unit rather than a hi-fi component.

Cons

Questions and answers

Is it worth it compared with a plain CD boombox?
It costs less than most brand-name boomboxes and adds Bluetooth output, USB playback and a rechargeable battery. If you need big sound for a room, a larger boombox with more powerful speakers will do better.
Can I connect my phone and play music through it?
Yes, through the aux-in jack or by loading files onto a USB drive. Bluetooth on this unit is for sending CD audio out to headphones or a speaker, not for receiving a phone stream.
How long does the battery last?
The listing gives no runtime figure. Expect several hours at moderate volume from a battery this size, and plan on USB charging for longer sessions.
What comes in the box?
The player, a remote control, and a USB charging cable are typical. Check the listing for whether a power adapter and aux cable are included before buying.
Does it play burned CDs and MP3 discs?
Yes. It supports CD-R, CD-RW, MP3 and WMA, so homemade discs and MP3 compilations should play.
When is it cheapest?
Small-brand electronics like this tend to dip during major sales events and back-to-school periods. Watch the price history rather than buying on impulse.
