Our take on the Red Barrel Studio Courtois Power Recliner Lift Chair with Massage and Heat

The Courtois is a power lift recliner from Red Barrel Studio, upholstered in gray faux leather with built-in massage and heat. It measures 34.6 inches wide, 37 inches deep and 41 inches high, so it fits a typical living room corner without dominating it. The lift mechanism raises the seat to help a user stand, which is the main reason people buy it. The best new price is $359.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, and two stores list it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Courtois lift chair worth it?
For the money, yes, if you mainly need help standing up and want massage and heat included. At $359.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it undercuts most lift recliners. Expect firm padding and faux leather rather than premium upholstery.
How much weight does it hold?
The listing does not state a weight capacity. Lift chairs in this size class typically handle around 300 pounds, so check with the seller before buying if the user is heavier.
Does it work during a power outage?
No battery backup is listed, so the lift and recline stop if the power goes out. If outages are a concern, look for a model with a battery backup feature.
How big is it and will it fit my room?
It is 34.6 inches wide, 37 inches deep and 41 inches high. Leave several feet of clear space in front so the chair can fully recline and lift without hitting furniture.
What do I need to assemble?
The back usually slides onto the seat base and the chair needs to be plugged in. Two people should move it into place because lift chairs are heavy.
When is the price lowest?
Lift chairs tend to drop during holiday sales and clearance events. The current best new price is $359.99 at eBay as of November 4, 2026; check the price history before buying.
