Is this sleeping bag warm enough for freezing nights?

It is rated from 23°F to 41°F, so it suits cold nights around and above freezing. Below that, add a liner or a pad with a higher R-value.

How wide is it compared with a standard bag?

It is about 4 inches wider than a normal sleeping bag and 79 inches long, which gives side sleepers and larger frames more room.

Can I use it for backpacking?

It weighs 4 lbs and packs bulky because of the hollow-cotton fill. It is better for car camping, cabins and indoor use than for long hikes.

What comes in the box?

The sleeping bag and a stuff sack. It also has an inner pocket for a phone or small items.

Is the shell waterproof?

The 210T polyester shell is water-resistant, not waterproof. Keep it dry and air it out after damp trips, since cotton fill dries slowly.

When is the price lowest?

Only one store lists it new, at $49.99 at redcamp as of November 5, 2026. With no competing listings, watch for seasonal markdowns rather than store-to-store differences.
