Is the Reima Puhuri warm enough for very cold days?

It is an insulated, windproof snow suit, so it handles typical winter play with a base layer and mid layer underneath. For extreme cold or long stationary time, add a fleece mid layer.

How does the Puhuri compare with a jacket and snow pants?

A one-piece suit seals out snow at the waist and back, which suits sledding and deep snow. A two-piece set is easier for bathroom breaks and can be worn separately in milder weather.

What size should I buy for a growing child?

Reima kids' sizing generally leaves room for layering, so pick your child's usual size for a normal fit. Size up only if you plan to add thick mid layers or want extra wear room.

Is $140 a good price for this snow suit?

It is the only new price listed as of November 7, 2026, at Scheels, so there is no competing store price to beat it. Compare it against other Reima suits and one-piece suits from other brands at similar insulation levels.

The snow suit itself. Base layers, mid layers, gloves and boots are sold separately.

Our take on the Reima Puhuri Snow Suit

The Reima Puhuri is a one-piece insulated snow suit for kids, built for winter play with a windproof shell and a full front zipper. It is a Finnish-designed suit meant to be worn over base layers for sledding, skiing and snow days. The best new price is $140.00 at Scheels as of November 7, 2026, and only one store currently lists it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.
