The Schluter RENO-U is an aluminum transition strip that ramps a 3/8-inch tile floor down to a lower adjoining floor. The sloped profile covers the tile edge and removes the trip lip a bare edge leaves. The perforated anchoring leg beds in thinset under the tile, and the satin anodized finish resists scuffs in doorways. The RENO-U tile reducer creates a sloped transition from a tile floor down to an adjoining floor at a lower height, or finishes a tile edge that meets a lower surface. The gentle ramp protects the tile edge and removes the trip lip you'd get from a bare edge.
Made for 3/8" tile, the satin anodized aluminum finish shrugs off scuffs and traffic in doorways and room-to-room transitions. Bed the perforated anchoring leg in thinset beneath the tile during installation, then finish the lower flooring against the ramp.
