Is the Rice a Roni Cheddar Broccoli cup worth it?

It is worth it if you want a fast, no-mess side for lunch or a snack. If you want a full meal or better value per ounce, a boxed Rice a Roni mix goes further.

How do you make the cup?

Add water to the fill line, microwave as directed on the cup, and let it stand before eating. No draining or stove is needed.

How does it compare to boxed Rice a Roni?

The cup is a single serving and cooks in the microwave, while the box makes several servings on the stove and costs less per ounce. Flavor is similar but the cup rice is softer.

Mild. The flavor is cheesy with a light broccoli note, so it suits kids and people who avoid heat.

What is in the 2-pack?

Two 2.11 oz microwave cups of Cheddar Broccoli flavor rice. Water is the only thing you add.

Cup rice is usually cheapest when bought in larger multipacks or during pantry-stocking sales. Compare the per-cup price across stores rather than the pack price.

Our take on the Rice a Roni Cheddar Broccoli Flavor Rice Cup, 2.11 oz (2-Pack)

Rice a Roni Cheddar Broccoli Rice Cup is a single-serve microwave cup of seasoned rice with cheddar and broccoli flavor, sold here as a 2-pack of 2.11 oz cups. It is a shelf-stable convenience side or snack: add water, microwave, and eat from the cup. The flavor leans cheesy and creamy rather than sharp, and the rice cooks up tender. It is a pantry item rather than a premium product, so the best price is usually found by comparing per-cup cost across stores rather than chasing small discounts.
