Our take on the RK ROYAL KLUDGE RK61 Wireless 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The RK61 is a 60% wireless mechanical keyboard with Bluetooth for up to three devices, a USB-C wired mode and hot-swappable switches. It comes in red, brown or blue switch versions, and the compact layout drops the number pad and function row to save desk space. The best new price is $24.95 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, the low end of what it has sold for recently.

Questions and answers

Is the RK61 good for a first mechanical keyboard?
Yes. It is cheap, hot-swappable and works wirelessly, so you can try switch types without buying a new board. Expect to learn the 60% function layers.
Does it work with a Mac?
Yes. It supports Mac, Windows, Android and iOS over Bluetooth, and you can switch between three paired devices. Some Mac keys sit on function layers.
Can I change the switches?
Yes. The sockets are hot-swappable, so you can pull the stock red, brown or blue switches and fit compatible 3-pin or 5-pin switches without soldering.
How long does the battery last?
Runtime depends on backlight use; owners report it drops noticeably with lighting on. Keep the USB-C cable handy for long sessions.
What is in the box?
The keyboard, a 1.5 m USB-C cable and a keycap puller. A switch puller is included with most versions.
When is the best time to buy it?
It is a budget board that discounts often. The $24.95 eBay price as of November 5, 2026 is near its recent low, so buying below $30 is a good deal.
