Our take on the Rocket Appartamento Kompakte Siebtrüger Espresso Coffee Machine

The Rocket Appartamento is a compact heat-exchanger espresso machine with a stainless steel body, an E61-style group and a 1.8-liter boiler. It has no app control or digital display; you control brew temperature with a pressure-stat and pull shots with a lever. Its best new price is $1,828.27 at Tiny Lux as of November 8, 2026, with only one store listing it new, so there is little price competition to compare against.

Best forHome espresso users ready to move up from a single-boiler machineSmall kitchens that need a narrow footprintPeople who want a classic lever-operated E61 machineMilk-drink drinkers who want steam and brew at the same time
Pros
  • Heat-exchanger boiler lets you brew and steam at once
  • Compact stainless steel body fits tight counters
  • E61-style group and lever operation are simple and repairable
  • No electronics or app to fail; pressure-stat controls temperature
  • Widely supported by parts sellers and espresso technicians
Cons
  • No PID, so brew temperature drifts and needs a cooling flush
  • No app control, display or programmable dosing
  • Only one new listing at $1,828.27, so little price comparison
  • Needs a grinder and a learning curve to get consistent shots
  • Steam wand is manual, not a no-hands automatic wand

Questions and answers

Is the Rocket Appartamento worth it over a cheaper single-boiler machine?
If you make several milk drinks in a row, yes. The heat exchanger lets you steam while brewing, which single-boiler machines cannot do without waiting.
Does it have a PID?
No. Temperature is set by a pressure-stat, so brew temperature varies and most owners run a short cooling flush before pulling a shot.
What do I need to buy with it?
An espresso grinder, a tamper and a scale. The machine does not include a grinder, and a good grinder matters more for shot quality than the machine's price tier.
How wide is it?
It is one of the narrower heat-exchanger machines, which is the main reason buyers pick it for small kitchens. Check the exact width against your counter space before ordering.
Is $1,828.27 a good price?
Only one store, Tiny Lux, lists it new at $1,828.27 as of November 8, 2026, so there is no competing new price to compare. Watch for a second listing before assuming it is the floor.
Can I plumb it in?
No. It uses a built-in water tank, so you refill it by hand rather than connecting it to a water line.
Where is the Rocket Appartamento Kompakte Siebtrüger Espresso Coffee Machine cheapest?
At Tiny Lux, for $1,828.27, as of our latest check.
