Our take on the Rowe Moreau 85-Inch Cream Upholstered Slipcover Sofa

The Rowe Moreau is an 85-inch, three-seat sofa with a slipcovered body, loose reversible cushions and two throw pillows, made in the USA on a kiln-dried hardwood frame with sinuous spring suspension. Its 41-inch depth and 22-inch seat height make it a deep, tall-seated couch, and the cream polyester-blend slipcover can be removed for cleaning or replacement. At 153 lbs it is a substantial piece, and the flared arms and transitional styling suit both traditional and relaxed rooms.

Questions and answers

Is the slipcover machine washable?
Rowe slipcovers are typically removable and washable, but check the care tag on the polyester blend before washing. Cold water and line drying reduce shrinkage risk.
How does the 19-inch seat depth feel?
It is on the shallow side, so most sitters get upright support rather than a lounge-deep seat. Taller people may find it short for reclining.
Is a 22-inch seat height good for older adults?
Yes. A 22-inch seat is higher than the typical 18 to 20 inches, which makes standing up easier for people with knee or hip issues.
Can I buy a replacement slipcover later?
Rowe sells replacement slipcovers for many of its models, which is a main reason to choose a slipcovered sofa. Confirm the Moreau cover is still offered before you buy.
What is in the box?
The sofa ships with its slipcover and two throw pillows. Assembly is usually limited to attaching legs.
When is it cheapest?
Rowe sofas typically see the deepest discounts during holiday sales and end-of-season clearance. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
