Questions and answers

Is the Rubbermaid Brilliance set worth it?
Yes for most households. The airtight latches and stackable rectangles make it a solid upgrade over cheap deli containers, and at $47.98 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is priced at the low end of its recent range.
Is it leak-proof enough for soup or lunch bags?
Rubbermaid rates the latches as leak-resistant, and owners commonly report no leaks with liquids. Keep containers upright in a bag and check that all latches are snapped.
Can these containers go in the microwave and dishwasher?
Yes. The plastic is microwave safe and dishwasher safe, and it is also freezer safe. Let frozen containers thaw a bit before microwaving to avoid cracking.
How does Brilliance compare with glass containers?
Glass resists stains and odors better and does not warp, but it is heavier and not ideal for lunches or kids. Brilliance is lighter and cheaper, at the cost of some long-term stain resistance.

The set mixes several rectangular container sizes with matching lids, for 20 pieces total. Check the listing for the exact size breakdown before buying if you need specific capacities.
