Is this set worth it?

It depends on the price you find. The 138 pieces and two cars give more play value than small starter sets, but compare against similar tile sets before deciding.

The listing says 3-9 years in one place and 15 months minimum in another. Treat it as best for ages 3 and up, and keep magnets away from kids who still mouth toys.

Are the tiles compatible with other magnetic tile brands?

The listing says the blocks are interlocking and compatible, but it does not name which brands. Check the tile size before mixing with a set you already own.

138 magnetic tiles, two cars and a storage bag. No assembly is needed.

When is the price lowest?

No price history was provided for this set. Watch for holiday and back-to-school sales, when building-toy prices usually dip.
