- Is the Osmo Genius Starter Kit worth it?
- For families with an iPad and a child in the 6 to 10 range, yes. It mixes physical pieces with five learning games, and at $25.00 at eBay as of November 5, 2026 it costs less than most single educational toys.
- Which iPads does it work with?
- It works with most iPads that run current Osmo apps, but very old models are not supported. Check the Osmo compatibility list for your exact iPad before buying, and note that a thick case may need to come off.
- What is in the box?
- The kit includes the Osmo base and reflector plus game pieces: word tiles, number tiles, a red/blue stackable block, and the unicorn and parrot figures. The apps themselves are free downloads.
- How does it compare with the Osmo Little Genius Kit?
- Little Genius is aimed at ages 3 to 5 with letters, shapes, and early numbers. Genius is for ages 6 to 10 and adds spelling, math, and drawing, so it is the better pick for a school-age child.
- Do I need to buy anything else?
- No, the starter kit has everything needed for the five included games. Extra game kits and replacement pieces are sold separately if you want more.
- When is it cheapest?
- The kit discounts around back-to-school and holiday sales. The $25.00 at eBay as of November 5, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range.
