Is the Saatva Adjustable Base Plus worth $1,299?

It is worth it if you want a ready-to-use base with no assembly and adjustable leg height. If you only need basic head-up positioning, cheaper adjustable bases exist.

Does it need a box spring?

No. The base supports the mattress directly, so you skip the box spring.

What mattress works with it?

Use a flexible mattress such as memory foam, latex or a hybrid. A rigid innerspring mattress may not bend well on the hinges.

The legs adjust from 12 to 17 inches floor to frame, so you can match the height of your existing bed.

Does it come assembled?

Yes. Saatva ships it fully assembled, so you only need to place it and plug it in.

When is the price lowest?

Saatva runs sales around major holidays and Black Friday. The listed price was $1,299 at Saatva as of November 4, 2026.

Our take on the Saatva Adjustable Base Plus

The Saatva Adjustable Base Plus is a motorized bed frame that raises the head and foot sections for reading, working or watching TV in bed. It arrives fully assembled and needs no box spring, and its legs adjust from 12 to 17 inches so you can set the height under the mattress. The best new price is $1,299 at Saatva as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against.
