Is $79.09 a good price for this runner?

It is the only new price listed, $79.09 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026. With no other new prices to compare, judge it against similar 2 x 8 Safavieh tufted runners, which often sell for $60 to $120.

Will this rug work in a hallway?

Yes. At 2 x 8 feet it is sized for hallways and galley kitchens, and the brown and ivory pattern hides traffic marks. The high pile is soft but collects dust, so vacuum it often.

Can I use it outdoors?

No. It is listed for indoor use only, so keep it out of covered porches and patios where it would get wet.

How thick is the pile?

About 0.375 inches, which is a high pile. That means a soft feel but more resistance to vacuuming and a higher chance of shedding.

Does it need a rug pad?

A pad is a good idea on hard floors. It keeps the runner from sliding in a hallway and adds cushioning under the thin tufted backing.

What sizes does the Metro 777T come in?

This listing is the 2 x 8 foot runner. Safavieh sells the Metro 777T pattern in other rectangular sizes, so check the size before ordering if you need a larger area rug.
