Our take on the Safavieh Samana Square Folding Table

The Safavieh Samana is a 42-inch square outdoor dining table made of brown PE rattan over a metal frame, with a folding design and a listed 330 lb weight capacity. It seats two comfortably despite the large top, so it works best as a patio table for a pair rather than a crowd. At $150.49 at Home Depot as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across six stores. Assembly is required, and the all-weather, UV-protected finish is meant to stay outside year-round.

Questions and answers

Is the Safavieh Samana table worth it?
At $150.49 it is a cheap way to get a large square outdoor table that folds away. Expect a lightweight rattan-look build, not heirloom furniture.
How many people does it seat?
Safavieh lists a seating capacity of two, even though the top is 42.1 inches square. Two chairs fit comfortably; squeezing in four is tight.
Does it fold flat?
Yes, it is a folding table, which helps for storage and off-season packing. It still weighs 31 lb, so moving it is a two-hand job.
Does it need assembly?
Yes, assembly is required out of the box. The box includes the table only, so chairs and cushions are sold separately.
Can it stay outside all year?
It is marketed as all-weather with UV fade protection, so it can stay on a covered patio. Bringing it in during harsh winters will extend the weave's life.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor furniture usually drops at the end of summer and around Black Friday. The current $150.49 at Home Depot is already near the low end of its recent range.
Where is the Safavieh Samana Square Folding Table cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $150.49, 30% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
