Our take on the Safavieh Vintage Persian Himenz 2 x 12 ft Loomed Brown Multi Rectangular Indoor Runner Rug

The Safavieh Vintage Persian Himenz is a 2 x 12 ft indoor runner in a brown and multicolor Persian pattern, machine-loomed in Turkey from a cotton and polyester blend. It is a low-pile, 0.25-inch-thick rug made for hallways and other long, narrow spaces. The best new price is $118.99 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026, with two stores carrying it new.

Best forHallways and long narrow corridorsEntryways and galley kitchensShoppers who want a Persian look at a low priceLow-traffic indoor areas
Pros
  • Long 12 ft length suits hallways without a seam
  • Low 0.25-inch pile clears most doors and sits under furniture
  • Brown and multicolor Persian pattern hides dirt and traffic marks
  • Machine-loomed blend keeps the price low
  • Indoor-only construction is fine for most hallway use
Cons
  • Thin pile offers little cushioning underfoot
  • Cotton and polyester blend, not wool
  • Pattern is printed-look rather than hand-knotted
  • Needs a rug pad to stay put on hard floors

Questions and answers

Is this rug soft enough for bare feet?
It is a low 0.25-inch loom, so it feels flat rather than plush. A rug pad adds cushioning.
Will it fit a standard hallway?
At 2 x 12 ft it suits long, narrow hallways. Measure door clearances, since the pile is thin enough for most doors.
Can it be used outdoors?
No. It is listed for indoor use only.
How do I get the creases out?
Roll it pattern-side out and let it sit, or weigh the corners down for a few days. A warm room helps.
Is it machine washable?
No. Vacuum it and spot clean with a mild detergent; the cotton and polyester blend should not go in a washer.
When is the best time to buy?
The best new price is $118.99 at Walmart as of November 8, 2026. Check the price history before buying.
Where is the Safavieh Vintage Persian Himenz 2 x 12 ft Loomed Brown Multi Rectangular Indoor Runner Rug cheapest?
