The Amherst is Safavieh's machine-woven polypropylene rug in a casual geometric pattern, sold in many sizes and shapes including a 9 ft round. It is built for high-traffic rooms: stain-resistant, virtually non-shedding, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and listed as pet and kid friendly. The pile is thin at 3/8 inch, so it lays flat and cleans easily but adds little cushion. At $42 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, the best new price sits at the low end of what this collection usually costs, well under typical retail for the larger sizes.

With about 1,100 ratings averaging 5 out of 5, buyers mostly describe the Amherst as a good-looking, hard-wearing rug for the money. Praise centers on stain cleanup, flat laying and color accuracy; criticism is mainly about thinness and the look of the pattern up close.
