The Salewa Wildfire Edge GTX is a men's technical approach shoe built for scrambling, via ferrata and mixed hiking, with a waterproof GORE-TEX Extended Comfort liner and a Pomoca rubber outsole. Its standout feature is the Switchfit lacing system, which lets you loosen the laces for walking and cinch them for climbing, backed by a 1.6mm suede upper and Kevlar cables. At 437 g per shoe it is light for a leather approach shoe. It holds a 4.7 out of 5 rating from 186 ratings; no current store price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.
