Is the 24-inch Freeform carry-on or checked?

It is a checked bag. At 24 inches it exceeds most carry-on limits, so plan to check it.

How much does it weigh?

8.5 lb. That leaves a good margin under typical 50 lb airline limits.

Yes. A zippered expansion adds roughly an inch of depth for extra packing.

Is it worth it over the Samsonite Winfield 2?

The Freeform is lighter and uses a more flexible polypropylene shell; the Winfield 2 is a polycarbonate bag with a different look. Choose the Freeform for weight, the Winfield 2 for a stiffer shell.

The 24-inch spinner only. No packing cubes, locks or accessories are included.

Hardside sets and single spinners tend to drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Watch the price history rather than buying at full list.

Our take on the Samsonite Freeform Hardside Expandable Spinner Set

The Samsonite Freeform is a 24-inch checked hardside spinner in Amethyst Purple, built from a lightweight polypropylene shell that flexes on impact and springs back. It rolls on four multidirectional spinner wheels, weighs 8.5 lb, and expands about an inch for extra packing room. The shell is scratch-resistant and the interior has a zippered divider and cross straps. It is a mid-priced checked bag that competes with other polypropylene spinners in the $150–$250 range.
