Is the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra good for drawing?

Yes. The S Pen is included and has low latency, and the large AMOLED screen gives plenty of canvas. Many artists use it with apps like Clip Studio Paint and Samsung Notes.

Does it come with a keyboard?

No. The S Pen is in the box, but the book cover keyboard is a separate purchase. DeX works with Bluetooth or USB keyboards as well.

How long does the battery last?

Samsung rates the 11,200 mAh battery at about 8 hours of use. Heavy gaming or long video sessions will drain it faster, so plan on charging most days.

Is it too big to use as a regular tablet?

It is heavy for one-handed reading, so most owners use it on a stand or desk. For handheld use, the smaller Tab S8 or S8+ is easier to hold.

Cellular models support 5G and LTE, and Wi-Fi models use Wi-Fi 6E. Check which version you are buying, since the two differ in price and connectivity.

Is it worth it over the Tab S8+?

Choose the Ultra for the larger 14.6-inch screen and more multitasking room. The S8+ is lighter and cheaper if portability matters more than screen size.

Our take on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is Samsung's largest tablet, a 14.6-inch Android slate built around the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with 5G and Wi-Fi 6E. It ships with the S Pen and DeX mode, which turns the tablet into a laptop-like desktop with keyboard and mouse. Its 11,200 mAh battery is rated for about 8 hours of use. It is the top of the Tab S8 line and aimed at people who want a big screen for drawing, notes or split-screen work rather than a light handheld tablet.
