Is the Galaxy Z Flip5 worth buying in 2026?

At $423.96 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a cheap way into a foldable with flagship-grade speed. It is a 2023 model, so expect Android updates to run out sooner than on a newer phone.

How is it different from the Z Flip4?

The Flip5 has a much larger 3.4-inch cover screen that covers most of the front, versus the Flip4's small strip. It also moves to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a gapless folding hinge.

How long does the battery last?

The 3,700mAh battery typically gets most users through a day of moderate use, but heavy screen time will need a top-up. It supports 25W wired charging and wireless charging.

Does it work with a physical SIM?

Yes. It takes one nano SIM and one eSIM, so you can run two lines. There is no headphone jack; audio goes through USB-C or Bluetooth.

What comes in the box?

The phone, a USB-C cable and a SIM tool. Samsung does not include a charger or case, so budget for both.

When is the price lowest?

Foldable prices drop around new-model launches and major sales events. The current $423.96 at Walmart is already near the floor seen for this model, so waiting may not save much.
