Is the Scott Speedster Gravel 20 worth it at $1,265?

At $1,265 at Bikeroom as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest of the three new prices listed. For an aluminum gravel bike with hydraulic brakes and 12 speeds, that is a fair entry point.

What is the difference between the Speedster Gravel 20 and the Gravel 30?

The Gravel 20 steps up to a 12-speed drivetrain and hydraulic brakes, while the Gravel 30 uses a simpler 1x setup with mechanical or lower-tier components. The 20 is the better pick for hilly or loaded riding.

What tire width does it fit?

It ships with 1.77-inch (45 mm) tires. The frame and fork clear wider gravel tires, so you can go up a size for rougher terrain.

Is it fast enough for road riding?

It rolls fine on pavement, but the 45 mm tires and upright gravel geometry make it slower than a road bike. Swapping to narrower slicks helps for commuting.

Can I mount racks and bags for bikepacking?

Yes. The frame has mounts for bottles and bags, and the fork and rear triangle accept racks, which suits light touring and commuting.

Gravel bikes usually discount at the end of the season and when a new model year arrives. Track the price history on this page to see how $1,265 compares with past lows.
