Our take on the Seizeen 900W Portable Gas Powered Generator

The Seizeen is a small gasoline generator rated at 800 running watts and 900 surge watts, with five outlets and a pull-cord start. It runs about 5 hours on a tank and is loud at a claimed 95 dB. At $149.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a low-cost way to power lights, a fan and small electronics during an outage, but it is not CARB-compliant and has no NRTL safety listing.

Questions and answers

What can an 800W generator run?
Lights, fans, a phone or laptop charger, a small TV and a drill. It will not start a refrigerator, air conditioner or well pump, which need far more surge power.
Is it legal in California?
No. The listing says it is not CARB-compliant, so it cannot be legally sold or used in California and some other states with emissions rules.
How loud is it?
The rated 95 dB is about as loud as a motorcycle or a lawn mower. Expect to hear it clearly from across a yard.
How long does it run?
About 5 hours at the rated load on a full tank. Run time is shorter with heavier loads.
Does it have an electric start?
No. It starts with a pull cord only.
Is $149.99 a good price?
It is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it as of November 5, 2026. For an 800W unit that is cheap, but the lack of a safety listing and CARB compliance is a real trade-off.
Where is the Seizeen 900W Portable Gas Powered Generator cheapest?
At Walmart, for $149.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Seizeen 900W Portable Gas Powered Generator?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Walmart, eBay.
