Is the Serta Cooper Convertible Chair worth it?

It suits a small room that needs an occasional bed more than a main guest bed. The narrow 26-inch sleeping surface and 250 lb limit are the main compromises. Compare its price with a twin sleeper sofa if two people or heavier adults will use it.

The bed measures 26 inches wide by 74 inches long and sits 19.3 inches off the floor. That is narrower than a standard twin, which is 38 inches wide. It fits one adult or a child.

How much weight does it hold?

Serta rates the chair at 250 lbs. That is below many sleeper chairs and sofas, so check it against who will sit or sleep on it.

Does it come with a mattress?

The cushioning is built in as high-density foam, so the chair unfolds into the bed and no separate mattress is needed. Bedding is not included.

What are the dimensions as a chair?

As a chair it is 36 inches wide, 36.6 inches deep and 34.6 inches high. Leave clearance in front for the bed to fold out to 74 inches deep.

When is the price lowest?

Sleeper chairs usually drop during holiday sales and end-of-season furniture events. Watch the price history and buy when the quote falls below its recent range.
