Our take on the Shaker RTA Drawer Base Cabinet with 3 Drawers

This is a ready-to-assemble base cabinet with three stacked drawers and a Shaker-style front, standing 34.5 inches high. It is a bare cabinet box, so it suits a kitchen or bath remodel where you supply your own countertop and hardware. Shaker fronts are the most common style sold, which makes matching additional cabinets easier later. No price or recent price range is available for this listing, so check the current price against similar 3-drawer RTA base cabinets before buying.

Questions and answers

Is this cabinet worth it compared with a pre-assembled one?
RTA cabinets usually cost less and ship faster, but you trade that for assembly time. If you are comfortable with a screwdriver and a level, it is a reasonable value. Compare the total with delivery against a local assembled cabinet of the same size.
What is included in the box?
Expect the cabinet panels, drawer fronts and assembly hardware. Countertops, handles, knobs and often drawer glides are sold separately, so confirm the parts list before ordering.
Will it fit under a standard countertop?
At 34.5 inches high, it is built for a standard 36-inch counter height once a 1.5-inch top is added. Check your countertop thickness and any flooring before installing.
Can I match this with other Shaker cabinets?
Shaker is the most widely sold cabinet style, so matching is easier than with ornate fronts. Still, confirm the door profile, finish and drawer spacing match the cabinets you already have.
Does it come with drawer glides?
That depends on the seller. Some RTA cabinets include glides and some do not, so check the listing details before you buy.
When is the best time to buy?
Cabinet prices often drop during kitchen and bath sales in spring and around major holiday promotions. Watch the price history for this listing to see whether the current price is above or below its usual level.
