Is the Shark Matrix Plus worth it at $225?

At $225 at mercari.com as of November 7, 2026, it is a low entry price for a robot that both vacuums and mops with HEPA filtration. It suits hard floors and pet hair; skip it if you need deep scrubbing or a self-emptying base.

Does it really mop, or just wipe?

It mops with a damp pad, so it picks up light dust and spills. It does not scrub dried or sticky messes the way a dedicated hard-floor scrubber does.

How long does the battery last and how long to charge?

Shark rates it at up to 110 minutes per charge, with about 3.5 hours to recharge. The battery is removable, so a spare extends cleaning time.

Does it work with Alexa?

Yes. It supports Amazon Echo voice control and the Shark app for scheduling and start or stop commands.

Will it fit under my sofa or cabinets?

It is 5.69 inches tall, so it clears most furniture with standard clearance but not very low sofas or toe kicks. Measure the lowest gap before buying.

Expect the robot, a charging dock, the mop pad and a filter. A self-emptying base is not included.
