Is the Shark Matrix worth it?

It makes sense if self-emptying and pet hair are your priorities and you have a small-to-mid-size home. The short 20-minute runtime is the main trade-off against pricier robots with longer battery life.

How does it compare with the iRobot Roomba i3?

Shark claims 50% more suction than the i3, and both self-empty. The Matrix adds a low profile and Alexa control; check runtime against your floor plan, since 20 minutes is short.

How long does the battery last and how long to charge?

About 20 minutes of cleaning per charge, then roughly an hour to recharge. For larger homes, expect it to return to the dock mid-job.

No. It is a vacuum only, for hardwood floors and carpets. If you want mopping, you need a different model.

What comes in the box?

The robot, the compact self-emptying docking station, and a foam filter. Check the listing for any extra brushes or filters included.

Robot vacuums like this tend to drop around major sales events such as Black Friday and Prime Day. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
